How to use these resources

For each policy area, we have developed an action plan, case studies and an infographic.

The action plan and case studies are designed to support the officers responsible for setting up or managing the development of a council’s approach to that area.

Action plans include details on implementation timelines, key stakeholders to engage, policy interdependencies, budget estimates and impact on carbon emissions from implementing a scheme or policy.

The case studies give examples of other councils across the UK who have successfully acted, along with estimates of the carbon benefit where this information was available.

The infographics are designed as supporting collateral to help all staff understand more about the ‘what and why’ of a project, alongside giving details of how they can get involved. The infographics can be edited using appropriate software to include specific details of local schemes or directions to intranet pages for staff to find out more. The free font Poppins (available from Google Fonts) has been used for the infographics.
