About the Role
To lead and manage the work of the National ND Team, funded by the Welsh Government, based within the WLGA but working closely with the NHS, councils and other partners. The post-holder will provide leadership and coordination, management advice and support to the team in undertaking their roles, taking forward and implementing key actions as identified in the Team’s Work Programme as agreed with the Welsh Government. To lead on significant pieces of work identified via the WG ND Improvement programme.
The post-holder and the wider team will not provide advice to individuals or members of the public.
The role also involves supporting Integrated Autism Service (IAS) Leads, Autism Leads and facilitating a Community of Practice for practitioners working in the field of ND and wider related roles. As part of this role, the post-holder will engage with the Welsh Government to continue to manage the transition of the Team and the policy area to fully integrate other neuro divergent conditions in their work, to identify work to be undertaken, including outcomes to be achieved and the necessary resources to take such work forward.
