Wrexham County Borough Council adopted a ‘fabric first’ approach to transforming the 1970’s Crown Buildings into new Offices and the Community Health and Wellbeing Facility. Low carbon and energy efficiency was a key part of the facility’s design which has made improvements to the thermal efficiency of the building and included the installation of solar PV panels on the roof.
