About the Role

Strategic Migration Partnerships (SMPs) are funded by the Home Office and the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, to coordinate and support delivery of UK Government protection-based programmes as well as agreed devolved migration priorities. SMPs work with stakeholders in the statutory, voluntary, private and community sectors to provide a strategic leadership, advisory and coordination function on migration in their regions and nations. Hosted by the Welsh Local Government Association, the WSMP undertakes this role in Wales.

To build bridges between the WSMP, Hong Kongers in Wales, host communities and service providers.

To support the establishment and delivery of physical community hubs for Hong Kongers and related activities with presence at events and/or advice and guidance

To support the Hong Kong BN(O) Lead to address key issues identified in the WSMP / Cardiff University survey and other research reports on Hong Kongers in Wales/UK through effective ongoing engagement and communication with Hong Kongers.
